In earlier times Hindu Vishnu used to eat pulses only and they had lived longer lives without eating meat or eggs. It proves that pulses fullfilled their nutrituous needs. Lentil is a good source of Proteins, Iron, Phosphorus and Vitamin B. Lentil is packaged for travel needs after soaking it in water, frying it in oil and then mixing in it salt, chilli powder and spices. It becomes a nutritious travel food.
Lentil has antibiotic properties. It is eaten and applied over the skin. Its antibiotic properties are due to its one of ingredients LEGUMIN. Because it contains proteins, so it is body building food. It gives strength and builds immunity.
It should be cooked whole, without stripping its peel. It relieves constipation if cooked and eaten as a whole grain.
INFECTED WOUNDS
Lentil is boiled and crushed and its paste is applied on the heavily infected wounds as a poultice. It is appied daily for two weeks. It works well where all other medications have failed.
