Contact dermatitis is inflammation of the skin that occurs when you come into contact with a particular substance. It is the most common form of eczema.
It can be caused by:
an irritant – a substance that directly damages the outer layer of skin
an allergen – a substance that causes the immune system to respond in a way that affects the skin
Contact dermatitis caused by irritants is more common, causing up to 8 in every 10 cases.
Signs and symptoms
Contact dermatitis is a type of eczema that causes the skin to become red, blistered, dry, scaly and cracked.
This reaction will usually occur with a few hours or days of exposure to an irritant or allergen.
Symptoms can affect any part of the body, but most commonly affect the hands and face.
Seeking medical advice
You should see your GP if you have persistent, recurrent or severe symptoms of contact dermatitis. They can try to identify the cause and suggest appropriate treatments.
They can also refer you for further tests to confirm which specific irritant or allergen is causing your symptoms.
How contact dermatitis is treated
If you can successfully avoid the irritants or allergens that trigger your symptoms, your skin will eventually clear up.
However, as this isn't always possible, you may also be advised to use:
emollients – moisturizers applied to the skin to stop it becoming dry
topical corticosteroids – ointments and creams applied to the skin that can help relieve severe symptoms
oral corticosteroids – tablets that can help relieve widespread symptoms
With treatment, most people with contact dermatitis can expect their symptoms to improve, and some cases will resolve completely.
THE DEFINITE TREATMENT
The definite treatment is herbal which consists f mixture of some herbal products. It is the definite treatment of contact dermatitis. It will cure your disease once for all. You will be free of disease, you will not have to continue the treatment for life. The disease will be gone for good.
1. Saline Soaked Cloth:
Keep saline soaked cloth on the wounds for 10 minutes three to four times a day. Most of the times it will be enough for wound healing.
2. Olive oil and Henna leaves:
Take 100 grams of olive oil and 15 grams of dry henna leaves, mix them and heat them for five minutes. Strain the oil after it is cooled and apply this oil on the affected skin. Most of the patients were treated by this oil. The good thing about this oil was that it also prevented infection of the skin, otherwise bacteria would have entered the skin via the ulcers in skin and caused infection. If infection had already occurred it would be cured by the combination of olive oil and henna leaves.
3. Natural Vinegar Lotion:
Lotion made with natural vinegar and herbs combination is a great remedy for contact dermatitis.
Yu will need following herbs:
1. HENNA LEAVES 25 GRAMS
2. BLACK SEEDS 10 GRAMS
3. SENNA LEAVES 10 GRAMS
4. NATURAL VINEGAR 500 GRAMS
Boil this mixture for 5 minutes and then strain it. Apply it twice daily on the affected parts. It is for mild disease. But if you have severe scaling on skin then use olive oil 250 grams instead of vinegar in the above regimen.
4. Honey application:
Honey is a great herb and medicine. It has got cure f many diseases, it is a miracle. Apply honey on the skin if the above regimens do not work on you. Use honey on lesions twice daily.
You will have to be patient during all the treatment methods and wait for the effect to be evident. Keep using the natural and harmless medicines until you are fully cured.
